About OpenCTF-R

OpenCTF-R is an open-source implementation of CTF's residual solver, designed for subchannel thermal-hydraulic analysis. It provides advanced numerical methods for solving the conservation equations governing two-phase flow in nuclear reactor cores. The code is developed and maintained by the Reactor Dynamics and Fuel Modeling Group (RDFMG) at North Carolina State University.

OpenCTF-R aims to provide the research community with a transparent, verifiable, and extensible tool for thermal-hydraulics simulation, supporting both academic research and industrial applications.

Access OpenCTF-R

OpenCTF-R is available through RDFMG's code distribution program. As an open-source project, it provides full transparency in the numerical methods and implementation, making it ideal for academic research, verification and validation studies, and uncertainty quantification.
